About Shilajit

Girivana Shilajit is purified shilajit resin (Shuddha Shilajit) in its traditional semi-solid form, not an extract or a powder. It is cleaned by Surya Tapi Shodhana, the classical process of dissolving the raw material in water, filtering it and letting it dry slowly in sunlight.

Ayurvedic texts describe shilajit as a rasayana for stamina and vitality. It is screened for heavy metals and microbial contamination before release.

How to use the resin

Use the spoon provided to take a pea-sized portion. Stir it into a cup of warm (not boiling) water or milk until it dissolves. The resin softens in warm weather and hardens in the cold; both are normal.

Why resin?

Resin is the traditional form described in Ayurvedic texts. Powders and capsules often contain extracts or carriers, so the amount of shilajit itself can be hard to judge.

A pea-sized portion (about 300–500 mg) once daily, dissolved in warm water or milk, or as directed by your healthcare professional.

Why has my resin become hard or soft?

Pure shilajit resin responds to temperature. Warm it slightly in your hand to soften, or chill it briefly if it is too soft.

How long does a 20 g jar last?

At 300–500 mg a day, a 20 g jar lasts roughly 40 to 60 days.

What does Shuddha mean?

Shuddha means purified. It indicates shilajit that has been through classical Shodhana purification.
